News, Ideas, and Offers
Over the past month, we had a chance to "hit the road" and meet with many online merchants, AMP Keywords advertisers, and other folks in online marketing universe.
We always enjoy hearing first-hand about changes in our fast-moving industry, and then to think about what AMP Keywords.com can do to help our merchants meet their changing needs.
In this month's newsletter, we share some of the news, ideas and offers we've come across. This is part of our mission to provide you not just high-quality, low cost traffic, but also with expertise on what is happening in online marketing.
Before we do that though, we need to mention that AMP Keywords has added some great new inventory over the last month, so you may want to take a minute to update your account at www.ampkeywords.com.
Unbiased Ad Spending
If you blinked, you may have missed the recent deal-making in the online advertising industry. Google purchased Doubleclick and 10 days later Yahoo! countered by buying Right Media. In less than two weeks, two great companies, that were publisher-independent and advertiser-focused, were swallowed up by the two biggest publishers on the Internet for a combined $4 Billion.
Advertisers are right to be concerned about entrusting their advertising dollars to companies who profit from selling advertising at the highest price, not buying it as efficiently as possible.
As a result, the question all online marketers are asking now is: Is my ad budget being spent by a company that is motivated to buy the best advertising space at the lowest price, or by a company that is motivated to sell their own advertising space at the highest price?
This is what is fun about working at AMP Keywords: our interests mirror our advertisers interests. This allows us to be ruthless when it comes to spending our advertiser's ad dollars-the one question we ask constantly is: how can we get more customers to our advertisers at a lower cost?
AuctionBytes Article and Podcast
Speaking of unbiased advice for online merchants, we're big fans of Ina Steiner and auctionbytes.com. Ina was kind enough to invite our President Adam Epstein to provide some tips to online merchants regarding Pay Per Click advertising. His article can be found here. Adam was also a guest on Ina's first ever podcast. Adam was fighting a head cold but enjoyed the chat with her. The podcast web page might be a work in progress, but the podcast should be available.
If you read those articles or listen to the podcast, you will know how fanatical we are about data. This is why it was great to meet with a company called Terapeak - who generously agreed to provide our merchants with a 14-day free trial of their fantastic service.
Terapeak has a direct line into all eBay seller data and they make that data available to any online merchant who wants to uncover strategies from the best eBay Sellers or find the hottest items to sell online. Their service is really easy to use and the amount of data they make available is simply phenomenal.
We told them that our merchants would go nuts for this, and they generously agreed to offer all AMP Keywords merchants a 14-day free trial. To take advantage of this offer, go to http://www.terapeak.com/AMP
Thanks for your business. We continue to work hard to AMP your online sales.
